I ran the half marathon in 2022. What I love most about this race is that it's small, but not so small that you're running alone. It's the sort of race where you can walk up to the starting line 5 minutes before the start without worrying about corrals. Super chill.

The course is challenging with some sizeable hills, but the scenery took my mind off it. The overall organization was great. The race started on time, the course was easy to follow, and the finish area had good fuel.

Low marks for communication because the post-race communication was non-existent. Finding the official finish times was a chore.

Bonus: spending some time in Lake Placid and doing some hiking in the Adirondacks.
